First I am glad I came off the fence last night 12 hours before TD did!

If we assume Rob Kelly will be in charge until at least next week and that Tim Davies has said to him "You can bring in one player by deadline day on Tuesday if you ship two players out", who would you choose?

I go for Hamill and Kisnorbo out and any decent Left Back in.

Because if the new permanent manager is not here by next week he would not be able to buy anybody until July anyway, 2 months after we might have been relegated. Now is the last chance to fine-tune the squad to keep us up. And I am sure any manager would want a natural left back.

but surely he would want that natural left back to be his own choice not of someone who may only be in charge for a couple of games?

We need a new manager before we can sign any players!

Any we can loan players up until the end of March I think, so there will still be time for a new gaffer to get someone in.

The only flaw in this perfectly conceived plan is the part about "shipping two players out"... it all seems so easy, but the problem is, who the hell would buy Hammill or Kisnorbo???! We'll probably have to wait until CL has a new club...:icon_roll

If we are going to loose players, I suspect it will be the likes of Williams, Joey, etc, so we would be better off trying to keep hold of everyone at the moment.

Apologies. I had forgotten that loans were still possible until March. That would be the obvious/sensible way for the new manager to fine tune the team if needed.
