This is just players being released at the end of their contracts. Hamza has another year. It does, however, imply that Evans is to be offered a new deal.

Typical LCFC insanity. If it were any other club I’d expect it to be pay as you play, but it’s us so it’ll be four years, a significant wage increase and a player option to extend.

He's the best organiser of a defence because we've had young, inexperienced defenders next to him.
Don't get me wrong, he plays an important role in that backline - but I don't think he's a leader. So if he's not on the pitch, it's not helping us much. And he very rarely is on the pitch. I don't really want him to stay.

Two year contract at £80k a week = £8.3m basic salary. He was on £44k a week at Southampton. This deal absolutely and positively didn't have anything to do with him running an agency with Rodgers' son.
He started 9 games with 2 more as sub. Only 4 PL appearances (we didn't win any of them) and his last game was Dec 2021 at Liverpool in the LC when he came off the bench after an hour when we were leading 3-1. Fittingly, his final contribution was missing the penalty that gave Liverpool (kids) the win.
He's got a winners medal from the Community Shield though so he'll go down as a legend I expect.

I'll give you that for Fofana. But Faes is 25, Souttar is 24, Soyuncu is 27 and Maguire was 26 when he left. Youthful, perhaps, but all had played significant numbers of games in significant leagues before they joined us and all looked better alongside Evans than anyone else
