According to 'The Bam' (who seems genuine enough), Hearts have 8 decent players who are out of contract at the end of the season.

It would appear that we have 12 out of contract at the end of the season

Mark de Vries, Steven Pressley, Alan Maybury, Phil Stamp, Kevin McKenna, Neil MacFarlane, Robbie Neilson, Ramon Pereira, Joe Hamill, Robert Sloan, and reserve goalkeeper Tepi Moilanen. Michael Stewart’s loan deal is up at the end of the season.


Mark DeVries is 6'7" striker. Dutch/Sudanese. Can score for fun, but prone to injury.
Steven Pressley. Ex Rangers, Coventry, Dundee Utd, and now Hearts captain and Scotland Central defender.
Alan Maybury. R.O.I right back. Ex Leeds Utd.
Phil Stamp. Midfield, ex Middlesborough.
Kevin McKenna. 6'3" Central defender, but playing Centre forward at the moment. excellent all round player. Canadian International.
Neil McFarlane. Midfield.
Robbie Neilson Right back
Ramon Pirerra, Spanish, just brought in at start of season. forward. lokks very handy, but has been injured most of his time here.
Joe Hammil. Midfield, only about 20 yrs old, excellent home grown prospect.
Robert Sloan. Same as Hamill.
Tepi Molinaen. Finlands No.2 keeper as well as Hearts No.2
Micheal Stewart. midfield, on load from MANURE........ Pesh....

Yeah.............Elvis is about our Best/most consistant player at the club. Always gives 110%
Don't know about the bovver story...............
Think he will stay at Hearts. Pretty settled, and is main man in the team. However who knows............. Yesterday I would have said Levein would stay...............

Super defender, but has a lengthy contract, i think. Still only about 23, and Scotland regular.

Birch has said on Century that Levein might bring in an ex-Leicester player to help as well. He wouldn't say who though.

In his press conference Levein did say that he was going to bring in an assistant manager who is experienced in English football and that his current assistant at Hearts Peter Houston will join in another capacity.

He has been linked to us today in some of the press. Whether it happens is another thing, I would have thought most of the Hearts players would want to stay on at least whilst still in european competition.
