Don't think I will be wishing for Brentford at home in the next round after the Wycombe debacle - trying not to get carried away but two more wins and we will be back in Europe if we play either Arsenal, Man utd or Chelski in the final - I would like to meet Southampton, Bolton, Burnley or Blackburn at home or away - we would then have a realistic chance of getting through

I think we're way way beyond the wycombe days mate...

Brentford or Southampton, home or away, don't really care...

It needs to be away IMO, lets face it our home support is shat, and it brings the players down!

Away from home we have a better crowd, more noise, more singing etc.

support at home is only shite because the club have made it that way making you sit down when your at the back..draws the focus away from singing for the lads and arguing the toss with those twatty stewards

I don't agree, I sat for the majority of the game yesterday, and still sung and shouted for the cause, why can't you do that at the back? And even if it does put the people at the back off singing theres still 20,000 other fans there to sing.

To be honest its not so much the siging thats the problem, it more about getting on the players backs. If a player makes a mistake the whole crowd gets pi$$ed off and the moans and shouts abuse at the players!

The guy infront of me for example, doesnt stand and cheer for a goal, dosn't clap, sing or praise the players - but when someone does something he don't like he's outta his chair like a shot, shoutiung abuse at the players and creating an all round negitive attuidtude! Thats more what the problem is with the home support, and I think most people on here, and in the ground would agree that its the minority that make it a hostle enviroment for our own players which is leading to our home downfall.

or it may be that there really hasnt been that much to sing about at home this season...

yes our home form this season isnt great...why?! because we have 5,000 posh gits in the west stand who just sit and watch, they dont get behind the team. no offence to anyone else who sits in the west stand but at the blackpool game this season most of them were 60+ wearing big feathery hats, this aint a wedding dear. that pissed me right off that day. and when i sit in the KOP against crewe at the last home game we were behind them all the way, obviously not the whole crowd will as they have the little'uns to think about so they dont want to be where the "AHHHH YOUR SHIT AHHHH" chants are and so on, point taken but it is the loyal 4,000 odd fans who travel x ammount of miles to get behind the team and sing there hearts out. you dont have to stand up and sing to be a fan, but i hate it when people moan when gillespie or stewart dont make a great cross or gudjonsson tries a wonder strike and skies it. after yesterdays perfomence we are obviously on the up, but if we can really get behind the team and cheer them on just like on an away day we can beat anyone. CL is so gratefull for the fans on away games because we make it what it is. just my 2 cents.

p.s southampton at home would be good.

And Klivert has scored For Newcastle agaisnt Chelski
