According to some Airdrie United site:
"Kenny Black is Airdrie United's Assistant/Player Manager.
He has featured in 10 games for Airdrie United 1 in Season 2002/2003 and 9 in Season 2003/2004. Kenny plays at Left Back (Unlike in his last spell at Airdrie when he usually played Left Midfield) and He is now 40 years old and at this current time he is the oldest Player on Airdrie's books.
In his career he started it with Rangers before moving to Motherwell and then to Hearts for about 5 or 6 years, he then moved to Portsmouth for a season and then to the great Airdrieonians (He cost us £175000), He was at Airdrieonians from 1991 until 1999. Kenny is the only player to score a European Goal for Airdrieonians. He played 307 games for Airdrieonians (8 of them were him coming off of the bench) and he scored 25 Goals. After leaving Airdrieonians in the summer of 1999 he moved to Raith Rovers and played and coached until the summer of 2002. Kenny then moved to Edinburgh University as player manager and was there until near the end of February 2003, as he signed for Airdrie United as assistant manager at that point.
Also Kenny Black is a member of the Airdrie Hall Of Fame
but this is no surprise as he was and still is a great player for Airdrie.
