On the face of it they seem similar types of players as well as ages. But I feel it is a good move(getting Hughes ) as we dont seem to have anyattacking midfield players coming through the Youth/Reserves, apart from Butcher who doesnt seem up to much, and Nalis will soon be gone.

Listeningto Hughes on Midland TV tonight he gave the impression he could play on Saturday, it would be a bit harsh on Williams who is just starting to perform like we all hoped/expected.

Another good signing and more confidence for us fans to believe that CL could be the next MON

I am hoping he will be CL and that by being CL it will give us all those good times we had with MON. However we should not compare them until CL has had enough time.

I agree with you Steven. We should be glad that O'Neill was our manager, and we should be glad for the past...but its time to let go. Do we want to be like Forest and live in the past? Do we want to label all our future managers as the next MON, and in doing so make it impossible to live up to those expectations?

What we had in the past has been romanticised and made into something that is very hard to top. It is now part of our folklore and by comparison is very hard for any manager to compete with.

Lets just get behind what we have and let them make our future, and our folklore.

Bright days may be ahead

Oh, and give the new lad a chance to adapt to the English game before forming a judgement...moving from a place you have called home since the age of 16 is very hard for someone of such a young age.

A proper Leicester welcome is due.

When you're smilin the whole....world...smiles...with...youuuuuuuu

OH LEICESTER!

my mate stu (season ticket holder at the hun) says that hughes is a sound player, as long as he stays fit. said he used to look better than barry ferguson who seems to have the same problem with legs n all

While Hughes may not start on Saturday I don't see him coming here to sit on the bench.

I think we should go back to 3-5-2 play both williams and hughs in center with tiatto acting as the ball winner (the old lennon role!)

i cant say i disagree that

I believe CL prefers 4-4-2 when he's got the players fit for that formation.I'd like to see Tiatto in the middle as well though,at least if we start with 4-4-2 we now have the option of 3-5-2 etc if things aren't working.

surely we dont have enough centre halves to be playing 3-5-2 all the time.
heath, dabizas, dublin. then theres stearman (who CL see as a RB) and then its youth.

Maybury or gillespie would have to be dropped too. as well as joey.

I'd see how Maybury plays as a center back for that. and gillespie as the RWB, recently he's been as good defending as he has been attacking, he's come a lot since his adams days.
