Seeing that Santini has left Spurs, you don't think CL is sitting in his hotel room at the moment thinking that if I had only hung on for one more week I could have been manager of Spurs. :? :? :?

He is a good candidate for Spurs. Just like us they need a good shaking up, but unlike us they are trendier and therefore attract more cash.

Do you think he has any regrets as he sits alone in that hotel room? :? :?

Don't be blooming ridiculous. Spurs wouldn't of approached him in a million years.

I think Spurs would want bigger names. I don't think they would have ever have thought about him.

It's an interesting thought though...

I doubt Spurs would have even mentioned his name, like has been stated above they are a far more trendy club with a lot more cash, but what comes with that usually means these sorts of clubs go for trendy coaches ie big names or foreigners.

CL would IMO be treated almost like an unknown and would be seen as too much of a risk. In 3 years time if CL has done a good job with us and has proved he can handle managing a club in England then I think he will be one of the hottest managerial properties in the country. Thats when the clubs like Spurs etc will come calling.

I think ever since a certain Christian Gross, spurs have learnt to keep away from small names in management... so I guess CL wouldn't have been considered for the job.

CL wouldn't be interested because Spurs have a Director of Football...

I can't see Levein being on their wanted list, perhaps in a few years time.

Bobby Robson is available, would be a good bet for Spurs.

They'll probably try to get Curbishley or Allardyce.

Yeah thats a point I forgot about him!

If only Spurs were half as good or as big as their publicity.
Were it not for Fleet Street being down the road they'd hardly rate a mention over the last 15 years.
If they were a car they'd have been scrapped at times. As it is they still need a major overhaul.
Levein's in a winning seat at City. The scope for improvement here is immense and the urgency is not immediate.
Spurs looks a poisoned challice to me. Bigger expectations than they realistically merit and not much hope of achieving them quickly. Too many bad decisions, ineffective policies and indifferent appointments have left deep, deep scars.
The club is a space flight away from the days of Jimmy Greaves, John White, Danny Blanchflower, Bobby Smith, Dave Mackay and Jonesy on the wing. And where would they find the money to buy such players today?
