Nothing? Not a sausage?
How do they know? Is there (apart from the plaque) hard evidence that nothing happened?
Busy day today, Boc?The real truth is though that the plaque has a typo. The date should read September 5th 1752 when I can assure you that absolutely nothing happened anywhere in Great Britain. As part of the reformation of the calendar in accordance with the 1750 Calendar (New Style) Act, Wednesday 2 September 1752 was followed by Thursday 14 September and so it can in all honesty be said that nothing happened on 5th September because there was no such day.
I'll let you decide which of these explanations is the correct one. Or perhaps something else is true?
Make a plaqueNothing happened.
I have this authentic looking plate outside on a large stone block. It commemorates more to me than nothing happened in my garden on that date but on almost every other date in history too.
There are many awful things that are commemorated, but that my garden was at peace on that date and today is great.
Solid outdoor robust plate looks like it is old.
How do you buy something that is not available?
Nothing happening is not random, it's the natural state when something isn't going on.
I rule that this thread be dismissed.
I believe I was the last person to be called a clunt around here.Where's Melton when you want to send him a card?!
