Another triumph for our abysmal recruitment. Remember when we had the best in the league? Now I'd struggle to find worse. Everyone needs to be sacked.
Root & branch cull with immediate effect or we're headed back to the days of Levein & Holloway.

As I kept saying all summer, why are we signing all these midfielders/wide players when our defence is the weak link?

We saw Faes two years ago in the PL and it was obvious he wasn't up to it. The fact that he's still being rolled out week in, week out, is incredible.

He's now coming up to his 100th City appearance!

Signed by a manager desperate to get sacked. He was never likely to be any good was he?

Is it fair to say we have players out on loan who are better than our current options.

Not if you watched Souttar play on Friday as he was turned inside out and struggling for pace so Im not sure if he really is the answer.

Faes and Vestergaard looked solid last season in the Championship but the Prem is a different game.

He's probably not any worse than our current CBs but I don't think he is any improvement either

Cannon would be a decent option to have but would he get any decent opportunities? Any back-up striker we have has to try and prove their whole worth in 30 mins sub appearances at the very most, usually when we are losing now too, so it is a terrible situation - I honestly would think we are better saving Vardy as the sub to come on as a 37/38 year old simply cannot lead the line on his own in the PL.

Souttar shouldn’t have gone out on loan, especially if we start playing 3 centre backs more often.

But I disagree about Tom Cannon. He didn’t even get much of an opportunity when we were in the Championship, and then this season has failed to score in 10 out of 14 matches. He wouldn’t get any minutes ahead of Vardy and Daka, so it’s better that he’s out on loan.

I can see what you mean, but I reckon we’re probably costing ourselves money net wise, once you take off the money Stoke will be contributing to his wages, against what we’re paying Edouard and I’d rather have Cannon here than him, as a third choice.

We probably are, but at least this way he’s getting some game time I guess.

He passes the eye test for me though and you can tell there is natural ability in there, he just needs the opportunity to develop so a loan probably is the best for him now tbf.

However, look at someone like Liam Delap who was far from the highest scorer last season in the Championship season but is taking to PL like a duck to water and I could see Cannon doing similar, if given the opportunity.
