Will even if it doesn't work out, it's bargain money really. The kind of deals we should be looking at, cheap buys with great potential.

The bloke is in his mid twenties, any potential should be pretty obvious by now. Not too happy about the length of the contract but that could be down to "amortisation." Hope he's not on ridiculous wages.

A signing!

A right back!

£3m is pennies in modern football.

I'm excited. Let's hope he's good. Failing that, at least good enough to improve on what we currently have.

25 years old and only 12 appearances in a top division.

I’ll save my judgement until I see him, but it hardly stokes much excitement does it?

The excitement is in not having to watch James Justin attempt to defend anymore. By that metric I hope we've got another 3 lined up for the other hapless duffers...

Four and a half years FFS?

What if he's as shit as what we have already? Another one we are stuck with til the end of days

Will we ever learn?

He's going to have to be as good as Hossein Kaebi"s YouTube videos to have a chance of helping us avoid relegation

for his transfer fee I struggle to see why we needed to spread it over 4 1/2 years. It’s mind blowing. Rudkin is so out of his depth.

It will be due to the fact we see his transfer value increasing compared to what we paid.

£3m amotrised over 4.5yrs is **** all really so we wouldn't need to sell for much in order to break even at worse.

We've paid some stupid transfer fees and given out some crazier contracts recently but this seems like decent transfer from the money side of things for a change.

I doubt he'll be on big wages and he will almost certainly have a 50% wage reduction in the event of relegation included in his contract.

All the hallmarks of a signing in preperation for a championship season. Which is probably a sensible approach.
