x-box 360 ring of death

My x-box 360 has just began showing the dreaded ring of red, just wondering what to do with it. Does it mean that the x-box is completely ****ed or if i leave it for a bit will it work again?

its f*cked im afraid. ring xbox support, they will send UPS to pick it up tomorrow. i had mine back in 3 weeks.

We sent ours back and had a new one returned within 3/4 weeks as well. but there is a thing called the towel trick which apparantly works for a few days.

since last july so it should still be in the guarantee

If you got it from a shop, you should try and get it replaced there. If it was online you can try there but it will probably easier to get it done by Microsoft.

When you send it back you don't get your own one back, it is another recon console. Whereas if you took it back to wherever you purchased it, you will get a brand new replacement as well as a new receipt, entitling you to a new, full guarantee.

Mine has never had the ring of death but it has happened to a friend of mines and both times he got it replaced at Gamestation. Good luck!

happened to mine in the summer-so i sent it back. Then it came back unrepaired as they claimed it was tampered with. so i sent them an angry letter etc and then eventually got a replacement unit.

took 2 months to sort out :icon_eek:
