It's only really just occurred to me that our team has transitioned/is transitioning to a ridiculously young spine with 6 of the matchday 16 being either under 21s or very very early in their top flight careers.

I know people have mentioned this previously but whilst we do still rely on Mahrez and Vardy for goal threat and Albrighton, Simpson and Morgan for belligerence/workrate we are seeing a young set of players get towards 50 premier league appearances quickly and start to deliver. Assists for Gray and Chilwell today, more impact from Diabate, Maguire a few steps away from captain material for club and country. Iheanacho is still enigmatic and might need to play understudy to Vardy. This is no bad thing as Vardy is one of the best strikers in Europe & Int'l football over the past 3 yrs.
I suppose my point is. We have achieved 60-70% of a transition to a European qualification level club after the 5000/1 season. That's no mean feat and we should realise what we have under our noses which is a lot of VERY promising young international who might really kick on next season with the right management and recruitment around them.
