From "the other forum"...

On an interesting note though Tim Davies said Weso was going to be the first choice central midfielder before his injury, ahead of Gudjonsson and Kisnorbo, also Williams and Hughes were worried about their places because of him as well. Poor lad, but Tim did say Weso should be back around Christmas time which is excellent news if all goes well.

If this is true, it's an intruiging bit of news. Our midfield is pretty strong at the moment IMO, and if Wesolowski is thought of as first choice at the age of 17 then he must be a genuine talent.

Being so far from home, it's not easy to judge - a couple of years ago a few people were waxing lyrical about Tommy Wright, but he never impressed me when I saw him. Weso's potential had been noted but I didn't get the impression he was so close to the first team and was thought of as highly as that.

I'm also a bit confused - I'm sure he used to play on the left of midfield for the yutes a season or two ago. And now the defensive midfielders and attacking midfielders are all worrying about losing their places. So.... what's his best position? :102:

i know what you mean about Wright. i always thought that meself, and wondered why certain people were saying he was the 'next big thing'.

but having seen Weso a few times for the reserves(though admittedly only a handful) sometimes you just KNOW you are watching someone who will go far... i just hope the injury doesn't do anything to detract from his future career.

I know your missus is well up on this sort of thing Silver, and I am clueless, so I'm just repeating what I read on 'another forum' . Someone described the technique, which is quite new - they have inserted a "nail" into the hollow space within the bone, which will heal a lot quicker than a more standard plate, apparantly. Theoretically, he could be back by October! :icon_eek: But Xmas sounds more likely, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's towards the end of the season.

Lets just hope its as soon as possible!

what hollow bit, do you mean the marrow? :icon_eek:

They've replaced his leg with a marrow?
Should try that with MDV...

you wont be saying that when he's banging them left right and centre this year :icon_lol:

There is nothing unique or new about that procedure!;)
