This might have been missed as it was bizarrely published by the club at 4am.

Leicester City will return to Southeast Asia this summer for a pre-season tour including matches against Premier League opposition in Thailand and Singapore.
City will take on Tottenham Hotspur in Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium on Sunday 23 July – a return to familiar territory for the Foxes, who have been under Thai ownership since 2010. The Foxes will then head south for a game against Liverpool to contest the Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy at the Singapore National Stadium on Sunday 30 July.
The clash with Liverpool will form part of the 2023 Singapore Festival of Football, which also features Bayern Munich, Spurs and AS Roma.
Leicester City legend Emile Heskey will be in both destinations this week to launch the tour alongside legends from other participating clubs. Ticket information for both matches will be confirmed in due course.
City’s fanbase in Thailand has grown healthily since the Club was acquired by the Srivaddhanaprabha family and their Thai-based company King Power International in 2010. We last played on Thai soil in a pre-season friendly in 2014, beating Everton 1-0 in Bangkok’s Supachalasai Stadium. Two years later, an estimated one million people lined the streets of the Thai capital to see us parade the Premier League trophy following our iconic title win in 2016.
The Foxes also took to Southeast Asia in the summer of 2017, when we participated in the Premier League Asia Trophy in Hong Kong alongside Liverpool, Crystal Palace and West Bromwich Albion.
The Club will release details of further 2023 pre-season fixtures in due course, including games to be played in the UK.

The publication time is not the only bizarre aspect of this.

Oh cool, so we're going to be playing a game on the other side of the world, just 5 days before our potential opening league fixture.

Good planning chaps.

Plenty time to squeeze a fixture in over USA or something that week.

I think we're all missing the wider point. It's in Bangkok.

If we sign up Smith's son this summer, take him along to Bangkok, set up a casual racist prostitute orgy, and get Smith sacked, then we'll win the league next season. Whichever league we're in.

We're doing a tour of Thailand less than a week before the Championship season starts. At this point I guess nobody should be surprised, ineptitude has become the standard from top to bottom.....

No way can this go ahead.

Which means I fully expect us to stick to this.

Start the new season in the Championship on the back of some 7-0 hammerings - excellent stuff!

You seem to be under the impression that we'll have got rid of the squad by then.

We can send the 'PL' wankers on tour while the Championship losers can stay here and prepare for the season.

Most of the 'PL' wankers will be here until we desperately agree pitiful loans at the end of August.

Jetting around the world to play fake Premier League fixtures in Bangkok and Singapore... this is what I hate about modern, top-level football. It wasn't so long ago we'd play friendlies against Shepshed Dynamo, Quorn and Kettering Town.

Pre-season plans

Although there a more dates to be finalised, including domestic pre-season friendlies, it has already been announced that the Club will embark on a tour of Southeast Asia this summer. The Foxes take on Tottenham Hotspur in Bangkok on Sunday 23 July (11am BST kick-off) before tackling Liverpool on Sunday 30 July in Singapore (10am BST kick-off).

Seems to still be going ahead.

Jeez - considering we've been relegated, the price they expect ppl to pay:

Cheapest tickets roughly £60 and those tickets are in the arse-end of nowhere. Still i expect no problem for the serial glory followers who frequent this region. Vast majority of the tickets are north of £100!
