A 4-4 draw at Filbert Street

Does anyone recall a 4-4 draw with someone in pre premiership days (late 80s early 90s I think.)

I recall taking my lad to his first game around that time where the score was 4 all, and after that game he became a city fan. Sadly, he passed away in 2001 and I’m trying to recall some key events in his life.

Damned if I can remember who it was we played or exactly when it was. Can’t find anything except a draw with Villa in 95. I’d be grateful for any information.

There was also a 4-4 against Watford, 27/12/93

Oldfield 2, Thompson (pen), Ormondroyd

That’s the one!! He’d Have been 13 then so that’s bang on. Would never have remembered it was Palace.

It was live on Norwegian TV. Wasn’t scheduled to be shown but all other games were postponed due to the weather. I think it was Reid who scored from almost midfield after a bad cleareance from their keeper who was down by the sideline and desperately trying to get back in goal
