Can I just say that the defence had Andy King in front of them. It's like Welford road prison installing a picket fence to replace the monstrous castle walls currently in place.

Then you have to remember that the entire balance was changed with 2 new fullbacks.

Criticism of a player who has barely featured for a year and then get's lobbed in due to our shambolic defensive transfer activity is a tad harsh.

Not sure how King was responsible for Benny's set piece act. Or Lukakus first.

That said, I'd still play him Wednesday and hope it was an off day. As you point out, many had one.

His weakness seems to be his lack of foresight which then translated into being behind the play and missing headers. Perhaps Simpson and Ndidi help cover him there normally. His strength is his speed (relative to Huth and Morgan) and his ability to pass.

I think his positional awareness and reading of the game is actually his strong point.

I don't think he can be held responsible for anything yesterday as i'm fairly certain he wasn't on the same pitch as the other 21 players.

And coupled with the fact he has the pace of a sloth and he looked bolloxed after 50 mins

OOOOhhhh, logic. Like.

Fitz.

Weren't you bigging up Benny after his previous performances. The problem with some supporters is that they are too heavily influenced by the last game.

Yes, hence why I said:

I'm not writing Benny off because he has had a great few games, but I think he needs to come out of the team against Madrid. Maybe the complete lack of football and then the constant selection is catching up with him.

It works better when you read everything rather than pick out snippets.

I read it all. thought what a load of bollox and replied.

It's difficult defensively. The rest of the team picks itself. If Morgan isn't fit then I'd play Benny and I'm sure he'd be fine (as he has been in all of the games he's played barring Everton on Sunday). Up top, Vardy is a no brainer and Okazaki just causes mayhem in defences - we are better with him in the side.

This.

I do rate Okazaki. I've said it before and I'll bore you again; he brings something to the team beyond his own personal talents. His is one of the first names on my team sheet.

We went to Porto,
We went to Brugge,
We went to Copenhagen,
We went to Seville,
Now bring on Madrid,
In the Quarters,
As we travel to follow the blues.

Anyone coming out to Madrid bring your sun block, luckily for the players it cools down a bit by kick off time

Anyone in London fancy meeting up at a pub to watch the game?

I am aware of the Leicester pub off Regent street.
