Beer Festivals

Anyone been to one? Was it good? Bad? Where was it?

We're looking at going to one but thought i'd get some opinions from here.

I had a beer festival once. It was great. Just me, and loads of beer. Great.

I went to the Belgium one a few year back and it was a cracking weekend. Would recommend it if there are a group of lads just looking for th piss up. Its definitely an experience!

I've been to Munich twice for the beer festival, was very good but I found it better in a smaller group than a larger group as it was easier to move around and you got to mix more with others (went with some lads who'd been before though so that was good as there seem to be a lot of unwritten rules to follow)

I've also been to the Syston beer festival once, it was not far off as described in this thread with a lot of old men in cardies

Being absolutely serious, there are lots of women who go to Munich beer fest dressed like that, it certainly adds an extra bit of entertainment to the day :icon_bigg
