I didn't get the impression it was signed and sealed. It seemed to me that a fee had been agreed.

Hope this is true. Desperately need another striker after Schlupp's injury today.

If they can't agree on wages, I will personally pay the difference out of my own pocket.

I have seen Billy Sharp score for Doncaster once, in a not-so-memorable match at Preston two years ago. Naturally I was in the away stand, so I could sing "Billy, Billy Sharp". I knew very well back then that he would sign for us one day - I am still certain about that. Great player.

The official DRFC twitter account confirms a fee has been agreed.

Great news. Hopefully we can get him and West Ham or someone else don't come in for him now as well.

Still think we should go in for Jordan Rhodes too ;)

If Kebe and Sharp both sign this week I'll be very happy!

Rovers can tonight confirm that a fee has been agreed between ourselves and Leicester City for striker Billy Sharp.

Foxes manager Nigel Pearson has activated a clause in the contract of the 25-year old forward who has bagged 10 goals this season although personal terms are yet to be agreed.

Sharp was left out of the 18 man squad for the 2-0 defeat to Notts County in the FA Cup third round tie and manager Dean Saunders said "it's up to Billy" as to where his future lies.

Would expect an avalanche of bids now...with Sharp holding contract talks with all and sundrie.

Very much a "believe it when I see it" bit of news.

If he had a clause which the DRFC site says he did, then bids would have been in by now. The minimum fee was already known to clubs interested.

I suspect the deal is pretty much done already.
