Correct. Rail replacement bus back into Preston was nine minutes late, meaning that the 1927 to New Street was on its way out of the station when I arrived. The next one was at 2043 or something stupid for some reason, meaning I had to spend an hour and a quarter at freezing cold shitty Preston station and arrived at New Street after the last train to Leicester was long gone. Girl at the customer service desk got on the phone to Cross Country Trains, who thanks to her stubbornness stumped up for a taxi back to my front door

This affected Fludee very badly too. By the time he got there somebody else had locked themselves in the toilet. Poor ****er had to buy a ticket.
