webbo, this has been wrecking my head for ages.

on the archive page of my blog the months are listed but when you click any of those links to view the blog entries all it does is refresh the page.

I thought that I must have got the variable tags wrong somehow in my template but when I've looked at some of the other active blogs it looks as tho they have the same thing going on there as well.
or am i just missing something obvious?

when you click on any of the months the URL in the address bar does change but it just displays the same page

The version of the software I've got on the site is an old version, a major upgrade was released over 6 months ago, which ironed out a lot of the problems with the old version and adds a lot of new features. But the database has been completely changed, and upgrading at that time would have meant deleting all the existing sites, so I decided to wait until they'd written an import script for the new version. I've just checked again and it looks like the import script is now available, but it's still 'beta' so there's no guarantee that it will work.

So I think rather than look into your problem now, I'll upgrade to the latest version of the software - although I can't say at the moment when that will be. Obviously I'll make sure I take a backup first, just in case the import doesn't work and I have to revert to the old version.

I'm not upgrading the software (almost finished), and the archive now works - your archive is at http://thebluerepublic.blogged.it/archive/ so you'll need to change the link on your site to point to this.

Is the file upload option still available in the new version?
