Brexit

I'd describe this argument as a 'Danny Ward' defence.
The fact that many large brands are reporting record profits whilst offering real pay cuts suggests you're on the wrong side of this, BN.

We do need to make middling jobs - particularly public sector ones - more attractive. I visited the cinema the other day and almost every single advert was for public sector jobs.

Surprisingly people are not going for them. Could it be ridiculous degree requirements for jobs that really don't need it (for example, prison office roles where life experience is far more helpful) or could it be that you can make easily twice the salary of such roles with a lot less responsibility just by bullshitting elsewhere?

I have a friend in the prison service. In the last 13 years his wage has increased by about 10% nominally. No ****ing wonder people with an ounce of sense aren't going for them with these Charlatans in charge.

It is absolutely a political choice.

We can afford to spend £10m on a Eurovison Song Contest...

Nothing compared to the billions lost from Brexit, the PPE contracts and the tax lost to non-dom tax dodgers

That's a TRILLION a decade

Tell me that couldn't have been spent on public services...

For what, a quasi-religious quest for mythical sovreignty

we have record levels of legal immigration

we have the worst performing economy in the G7

But you can get a blue passport, soooooo....

...swings and roundabouts.

Except that the blue passports are actually black at the moment

The hoops I'm having to jump through to draw down my personal pension, and all because of some passporting bollocks thing.
