Hmm, I'm not so sure it will be this format in 5 years' time. The goals at Brighton perfectly illustrate that VAR still rests on the interpretation of a law. It's not black & white a decision like whether or not Harvey Barnes was offside / interrupting with play, and therefore there were inconsistencies last weekend with VAR involved. On the whole, it's a nuisance currently with fans in the dark and decisions taking far too long and with ridiculous cues - such as the ref will always overturn decisions when looking at the pitch-side camera.
