I've been really irritated waiting for the Arsenal season collapse to start. I didn't realise they were planning to do the whole thing in a week this time. Impressive.

Started in the silent era yes, But bled over into the 30s & 40s a bit. Had a bit of a renaissance in the 60s & 70s in Hammer films if I remember right.
