Think it was boxing day sometime in the mid/late 80's vs. Bournemouth (glamour Pleat era) when the mighty Willie Thorne came onto the Filbo pitch at half-time and handed out sweets to the impressionable lads and lassies in the stands...and many a dark night since I've wondered if any other team has a cheesier celebrity supporter?

I went to see Jasper Carrott at the DeMont ages ago just after we had hammered them about 4-2 and someone printed a banner out on a line printer that went a large way around the balcony with the score on it. I think he was a Brum director at the time. He took it quite well!
