If you'd said two years ago that we'd be talking about re-signing Cambiasso, having just confirmed Claudio Ranieri as manager (with money to spend) you'd have been pretty impressed.

Clearly it's a risk, and not exactly a long term option, but people would be finding holes in any appointment. Some people weren't excited when NP came back, and I know Saints' fans were nervous when both Poch & Koeman came in.

And on another note, the manager is ALWAYS going to be more important than any one player, no matter how good the player is/was. The manager is especially more important than a player who will at max have one more season with us. I couldn't care less if Ranieri gets on with Cambiasso.
