Diamond resetting

The lady has just been given a substantial diamon ring (valued ~£3K) from her grandma as an heirloom. She would like it reset into a new ring design as an engagement ring, does anyone on here have any experience of rough costs etc?

Yup! Although a reset could cost upwards of £400 so it's still not cheap
