I am curious about this. The guy seems to have very little coaching experience.
Is he respected generally by players in the way Powell was?

Is there a Sven connection from elsewhere?

Well it seems like Liverpool and Dalglish don't want him....

.....and he has a gambling problem......

...... and also a drink problem......

..... so perhaps he'll fit right in here except he's still banned from driving for another 4 months so maybe we'll have to pay for his chauffeur as well.....

not too impressed myself......

I don't see how that is evidence that he has a 'drink problem'

If he has almost twice the legal limit of alcohol in his blood and does not realise that that it makes him unfit to drive, he has a drink problem.

I'd say he has a driving problem, not a drink problem

Interesting comment from a DOns fan posted on FT

If you want any info he's too past it to play unless you're against a team backing off and defending deep. He's done alright as a coach, helped our discipline a bit and got us playing some neat passing but movement off the ball seems to have gone quite a bit since he joined.

Well then you have an entirely different definition of what a drink problem is to me.

In fact, if he was only twice the limit and was slurring and unsteady on his feet, I'd say he probably drinks very rarely.

I would think that is almost certainly the case. Doesn't mean I'm wrong though.
