So time has past since the somewhat tame 'last game' but after this gap I am still furious at the events that took place in the 'main stand' during the game.

Many individuals that were part of the animated groups of supporters that were clearly from or supporting Wolverhampton were clearly in breach of the normally accepted code of conduct expected these days at football grounds.

On a number of occasions during the game whilst the massed visitors ranks were on their feet celebrating I could clearly see individuals baiting and goading the home supporters who were clearly worried by such a large visiting presence in their usually calm seating areas.

On 3 occasions in the past 2 seasons I have visited other football grounds as a guest of a supporter of that club, each time trying to pretend I wasn't a supporter of the visiting club fearing that I would be moved or worse still thrown out for being in the 'wrong place'.

I was relocated on one occasion when before the kickoff I was overheard in conversation with my friend and reported to a steward for 'being in the wrong place'. The ignomy I suffered being escorted from my seat by 2 stewards and a police constable is undescribeable. BY THE WAY I HAVE JUST TURNED 60 AND WALK WITH A STICK.

Can someone explain to me how the massed throngs of Wolves supporters were allowed to be in the areas they were. How they came to be there in the first place. AND WHY WHEN MANY HOME SUPPORTERS CHALLENGED A GROUP OF 6 'HOSTS' (STEWARDS IN NICE POSH BLUE BLAZERS) THE RESPONSE WAS A SHRUG OF THE SHOULDERS.

I guess that the majority of these folk were 'corporate guests' of some sponsoring organisations (big money for LCFC) as you could see the mode of dress was that which would suggest this.

If this was the case then the organisations should be refused any further hospitality packages as they themselves failed to excercise adequate control over their guests. I would like to see a clear enforced policy that extends across all clubs to ensure this situation does not repeat.

I challenge LCFC to ensure that a repeat of this disgrace is avoided.

Pathetic response from stewards at the club to the Dingle fans who were allowed in to the home stands. When stewards can mass up to 10 strong to eject a bloke for standing why, even after complaints by "home" fans, are the "corporate" fans allowed to goad and abuse Leicester fans when they are sat in seats that are in the home area of the ground. I saw one inbred prat from Dingleland turn to the corporate box immediately behind him giving the wank*r gesture to the occupants and guess what...the stewards did nothing, a total disgrace !

The reaction to anyone from Leicester doing the same at Wolves would be swift and without sympathy I can assure you.

Fully concur with the sentiment of your post and "our" stewards and club officials should be ashamed of themselves.

i was sitting in the west stand with my sisters b/f (a wolves fan)that day and i tried to calm him down because he was making quite obvious his alliegences weren't with lcfc.

disgrace simple as that, the home fans are treated like dirt by our own stewards but when it comes to away fans they do sod all.

i would take what you wrote on here and send it to the club floppus.

I totally agree with you. I was sat at the back in the west stand and, as I said on the day in the post match thread, there were clearly large numbers of away fans in the corp hospitality section.

My husband used to work for a company that had a box at Filbert St and he often used to invite customers who supported the opposing team to the relevant match but none of them would have ever dreamt of acting like that.

However it seemed to me (but I'm not an expert on the seating arrangements up there) that they weren't in the seats next to the boxes but in the seats you go to when you've had a meal in the restaurants ie I sat in that section once when invited by a friend whose company was the match ball sponsor and we had a meal beforehand.

We were told that you couldn't wear away colours in there (not that we would have of course) but that rule implies they do allow away fans there. It wasn't just the odd guest though there were whole rows of away fans.

Whilst some points in this debate are valid and totally indefensible by the club, in the instance of last Sunday, the club can't really be blamed for the actions of a large number of WWFC fans.

In their position, I know that I'd have gladly accepted an invitation to attend the game on a corporate jolly.....also, if we needed 3 points to ensure a play off spot, I'd be very animated when it became clear that we'd got them. I'm not excusing their behaviour, I'm just saying that it's not always the fault of the club.

NB: I was in an area with significant numbers of WWFC around me and I'd like to state that the LCFC staff were constantly asking/pleading with them to consider their surroundings and the problems they were creating.

Spot on as usual Bob.

I'd go a bit further. Had the position been reversed and we were on a high and looking for 3 points for the play offs.....Leicester fans would have adopted similar means of 'colonising' the Molynuex. Of course we would. I knew this would happen at that game and it's part and parcel of the game. If people don't realise that then they want to get real.

The game is commercially driven and whilst it is really upsetting to get 'invaded' this is what happens when you can't fill your own sections with your own supporters and/ or sponsors pay their money and fill their boxes with those contacts who most want to be there.

The stewards are not highly paid negotiators or Leicester fans' own enforcers and would be probably told to keep a low profile except in severe circumstances.

I am in West stand B3. There is an away corporate section behind us which is railed off but we are used to hearing away cheers etc. Sunday there was about 50+ Wolves fans at the back of B2 in two or three rows mixed in with City fans. I would not be concerned if they werre just cheering at their goals and there was light banter. I got the impression from another fan though that they were being abusive to the City fans in front of them which I think is not acceptable. Certainly a single away fan in the Kop being abusive would be removed. It should not be different because they were in corporate seats.

Crazy there was loads behind me in the corp, about 20-30 of them, and they were even singing to the Wolves songs!

So they are Wolves supporters - so they are getting corporately piss-d ; what did you expect them to do : tackle The Times crossword; politely applaud the flowing football served up by the City and remain scrupulously silent as the Wolves moved into the play offs.

The way out of this is for Leicester City to win a few football matches and be challenging for promotion and beating sides like the Wolves - you would't have much problem with their singing then.

Completely agree (this is becoming a disturbing habit, Redditch). We'd all say " :icon_wink I was there, had to keep me head down" etc.

Away fans are a vital part of the game - nobody would want the sterile atmosphere without them, anywhere. So the issue is whether or not people are able to contain themselves if away fans are mixed in rather than on the other side of a few rows of empty seats. Shouldn't be too difficult for most grown up human beings really...

In villas corporate boxes they won't let you in wearing away colours and gladly chuck you out for doing all the things stated above.

exactly, i cant actually believe that some on here are saying the Wolves fans should be expected to act as they did, ABUSIVE to leicester fans around them in a direct manner.

Im sorry but corporate at any other club expects their gusts to behave and NOT abuse those arround them. your arguement is ridiculous in the way that you are condoning the actions of people openly breaking the rules and acting in an unnaceptable way.

So in the next game ill stand all the way through and no one can say anything because i will obviously be excited that it's the first game back, it's to be expected.

I got no problem with cheering and banter but abuse of the home fans in front of them is unacceptable to me in non-segregated seating. Some fans felt very threatened, particularly those with young children. What would happen if we allowed away fans in to L1. And the answer is the reason why we don't!
