Am I the only one who thinks given double points for those who can't be bothered to post is unreasonable?

In this day and age the is access to computers/internet cafes, WIFI, etc."BOC" has a system where members can mail in advanced if they are unable to post.
For example if a football team did not turn for the first months would they get doubles points to help them catch up?

I think it is 'generous' rather than unreasonable. The same offer was made last season and is not usually offered until week 3 when it is unlikely to put the new boy in a vastly advantageous position to those who have submitted from week 1.

It is done only to stimulate interest but I hear what you say.
