Pretend revolution? You'll have to explain that one for me. I doubt the people that have been killed and injured were pretending and I'm pretty sure they weren't pretend bullets or pretend teargas they were using.

Oh I don't doubt that the events of last year were very real to all of those involved. My tone in the post above was too flippant.

But unfortunately they didn't manage to change a thing. Mubarak buggering off isn't real change. The military rule Egypt just as they did before. A revolution in the way Egyptians attempt to affect political change, perhaps. This doesn't end until the military is stripped of all influence. Which is probably going to be never in such a militarised region.

Removing Mubarak was massive change, don't denigrate it, it was a ****ing huge event. The revolution is still ongoing, it never ended.
