Spain are so boring to watch since Del Bosque took over. They were great to watch in Euro2008 under Aragones, but now have just turned in to the pass it side to side without wanting to attack or create much that Swansea and ourselves were under Paulo Sousa. They were like watching paint fry at the last WC.

Hopefully, this really exciting young Germany side can topple them next summer.

Erm...I may not be a tactical genius Cesc but i kind of think that when you're winning is probably the best time to play defensively (?) As opposed to doing it when you're losing (except if you're Gary Megson of course)

I think he does make some good points though. We were only going to score from a set piece, Spain mixed their side up a lot so were never going to find much rhythm etc.

Anyway, I think the reason Spain are less entertaining than 2008 is because now everyone knows what they are all about, no-one ever attacks them (because it would be suicide to do so, similar story with Barca). This is even the case when they have great attacking talent at their disposal (ie Holland in the WC final). Chile did in the world cup and that was an entertaining match.
