I might just be being thick here, but can anybody tell me what the green and red icons represent?

Thanks!

I assume this was an email to/from two people? Each one is given a colour (which I think can be assigned) so as to group people. The red and green alone mean little, except that they are currently in separate groups, I believe.

It doesn't help me at all.

It was an email via an LCFC mailing list I subscribe to. Not a direct message, one sent to the list and distributed to all members.

Thanks!

They don't represent anything other than each sender is shown as a different colour (with the first letter of their name also shown), so when there's more than one email in a "conversation" you can more easily identify the sender.

Ah, after checking previous GMail I can see that now.

Not sure what benefits it gives though!!
