Helicopter crash at King Power

People are mad. I'm getting sent a freeze frame of the match apparently showing Puel walking on to the helicopter with the owners after the match.

Another person now reporting they've seen Puel in A&E with Amartey.

So people just like making up things from thin air?

I’m lying awake not wanting to sleep. If I sleep I know that when I wake up tomorrow the news will be bad. It can only be sorrow. A moment more of hope feels better...even if it is just a moment.

Hardly been able to sleep. Was expecting to wake up to terrible news. Now sitting refreshing every website again.

Well that was a shit night’s sleep.

Seemingly reliable report suggesting earlier BBC report that Puel was on board is thankfully incorrect.

"I got it last night (Saturday), everything is fine for Claude and his wife". Gregory Campi, the AS Monaco Team 3 coach, very close to Claude Puel, gave reassuring news from the Leicester coach and former coach of the ASM and the Gym.
Some media reported tonight the possible presence of Claude Puel in the helicopter of the president of Leicester, who crashed on the edge of the stadium after the game between the Foxes and West Ham.

James Sharpe has also said earlier this morning that he doesn't believe Puel was on the helicopter

I am struggling this morning. Just checking in. I have nothing to say but I just wanted to say something. No one should go to a football match and not get home safe to their family. Feels like these might be our club’s darkest days.

On the clip it sounded like the BBC presenter let the word ‘manager’ slip out without thinking about, probably had a producer in her ear. Thank goodness. Still painful waiting to hear more details of if anyone on the ground was affected and how many were in the helicopter.

We do drama and controversy at our club, never this kind of tragedy. So sad, so uncertain.

Just a horrible feeling. Even though I have never met any of the people on that helicopter they feel family. It is the same pit of the stomach feeling. That is why I am here on this forum this morning. I know that sat here waiting at an airport for a flight home that I am not alone today feeling this.

61 years as a season ticket holder. Many great memories. None greater than the recent ones with the club under the stewardship of Vichai and Top. I am feeling sad to the point of tears, not a particularly religious man but found myself praying for some positive news during a long and sleepless night.

From Sky News just now

I wonder if they used a drone for that picture. I saw a drone last night on the way home. I presumed it was a police one monitoring the crowd. Truly hope this isn't connected. Hopefully the air accident investigators will be able to find out the cause of this tragedy but looking at the wreckage they certainly have their work cut out.

A really dark day for our club, our fans and the wider world of football. Vichai for me had always represented the best side of foreign ownership and I greive for him and his family as I would my own. To think of the things that marvelous man has brought to us.......

RIP.
