Quite pleased. I found a purple heron in marshes in County Wicklow yesterday. A very rare visitor to Ireland.

Top stuff Hector. I found what turned out to be (I think) Leicestershire's second ever Purple Heron many years ago, but I couldn't put it on my list as it had been dead for about six months!

Very chipper. As it's after midnight it's now my birthday. Few days away, fingers crossed... I know it's sad of me to be this excited... it's just a house...

It's not everyone's cup of tea, especially my friends in Leicester who have described it as looking like a military bunker or a factory! But this Santa Fe style is very popular here in the Southwest, and I've grown to quite like them over the last ten years. To be honest, I'm not buying a house as such, more a view. These photos don't do it any justice - it's pretty stunning. Another bonus is that it's quite a lot cheaper than a small semi-detached that one of my brothers just bought in Fleckney :icon_bigg
