M1 North to J38 > A637 > A642 > A629 (Wakefield Rd) .....

At the end of Wakefield Rd, turn right on to St Andrews Rd, follow down to the end and the ground is on your right (hidden behind the trees)

The ground-guide suggests there is a good sized car park at the ground (£5) and plenty of unofficial car parks nearby (£3/£4).

Trains:

A saver return is £31.50 - Only get this ticket if your stupid!

Buy a CDR from Leic to Derby, a CDR from Derby to Sheff (Stay on same train) and a CDR from Sheffield to Huddersfield - Total £23.20, a saving of £8.30.

The Leic to Sheff (with the Derby split) is group saveable. 3 or 4 travel for the price of 2. So 3 could get as far as Sheff for £10.80 each and 4 for £8.10. You will then need to add £7 for the Sheff to Huddersfield leg making it a total of £17.80 each for 3 or £15.10 each for 4.

The train station in Huddersfield is about a 15 minute walk from the ground.

It isn't. But National Rail Enquiries was showing it as valid earlier in the week.

I was surprised when Notts mentioned it, so checked on both the 'journey planning' and 'special offers' part of the site. The former said it was the cheapest ticket for a Sheffield to Huddersfield journey: the latter said it could be bought and used at Huddersfield and more than several more West Yorkshire stations. Both have since been amended.
