After being shamed into buying an iPod by the amount of 80 year olds using them at the hospital, I have to say that I know precious little (read 'absolutely nowt') about them.

I'm pretty sure I know which one I want, but the one thing that's bugging me is that I'm clueless about transferring the tracks onto it. Do you have to use iTunes, or can I just transfer all the music I have on Winamp onto it?
I begrudge parting with over £100 to then have to buy the music to put onto it. Maybe I'd be better off just buying a regular mp3 player.

Can somebody who has a clue point me in the right direction, please? :icon_wink

you can import your library from winamp to itunes and itunes will convert the tracks for you. easy.

Its an option in Itunes, 'import library' and point it to your winamp library, it then tells you it will have to convert them and you say okey doke :)
