Never heard of the bloke before. Bit of a worry that is 'too expensive' for a club of a similar stature....do we really want a lot of highly paid players on the bill?

According to Norwegian media, Swansea, QPR and West Ham are the clubs that are after him. No mention of City yet

Thank goodness for that - I was fearing that we wernt going to sign anymore fullbacks - forget importing a couple of decent strikers lets just concentrate on the full back problem - suggestions for any other fullbacks we can sign please

I assume you've not heard the rumour of Berner becoming a coach. Cover at left back is needed.

I wonder why we didn't sign Mesilela then

Depends how much we are paying for Parr. We could have been pissing money away on a loan player when a permanent opportunity for cover is needed. Perhaps Masilela's club were only willing to loan him as a first choice player and not to warm the bench?

I believe he spent a lot of time injured last season. His agent said on a few occasions that the medical wouldn't be a problem. I wonder if all wasn't right.

Also as Fitz has said, we can get Parr on a full contract as opposed to a year long loan for Masilela.

Don't panic just yet. there is still seven weeks until the window closes.

Bid from unnamed English club rejected today. Can't link to source from my mobile but www.aftenposten.no has a story about this (in norwegian)

Exactly, very rare for a club to come out and say a player failed a medical as it kind of screws them for a move anywhere.
