From the official site:

Foxes forward Paul Gallagher made a successful comeback from injury on Tuesday afternoon, in a competitive reserve game against Coventry City at Belvoir Drive.

The talented Scot has been out of action since damaging ankle ligaments in the 1-1 draw with Barnsley five-and-a-half weeks ago.

But having trained with the squad fully during the last week, he came through over 70 minutes of action against the Sky Blues unscathed, creating a goal for Jeff Schlupp in a 3-1 defeat.

Gallagher's return will serve as a big boost to the squad ahead of a demanding run of games that will see them travel to West Ham and Burnley and host Leeds before the next international break.

Involved from the start at Belvoir Drive on Tuesday, the 27-year-old forward showed plenty of his usual flair down the right flank, delivering a series of dangerous crosses and trademark set-pieces.

A City side including Bruno Berner, George Taft and Joao Teixeira, as well as Gallagher and Schlupp, fell behind six minutes before half-time when Coventry's Freddy Eastwood produced a fine turn and left-foot finish from the edge of the penalty area.

But nine minutes after the interval, Gallagher's low cross was easily converted by the unmarked Schlupp to give the Foxes parity.

Gallagher nearly put his side in front a minute later when an opportunist chip from 25 yards dropped fractionally wide of the upright.

But, with both sides making changes later in the game, Coventry created the better of the late openings - converting one shortly before the hour and another 13 minutes from time to round-off a 3-1 win.
