I can see Gray being as good or better than Mahrez. He already takes the ball out of the air with one touch and perfect control and he can hit a ball harder than Riyad. I think he'll make a great replacement.

I think you are wrong. Not fit to lace his boots.

In that one instance Mr Mason shows that he has completely lost the plot. He reinforced this view by booking Huth for a good challenge and then ignoring Nobles horror tackle.

Incredible that in the tiny highlights shown on MOTD they showed the Huth and Albrighton bookings but not the horror tackle on Chilwell. If it had been a live match or someone such as Vardy/Ibra that tackle would have been huge news. Media as inconsistent as refs.

Oh and the MOTD stats didn't suggest Chilwell had been booked?

Gray will never, ever do what's mahrez did last year. Not even close.

I'm sure that near everybody will agree with you. He's only 20 and better than Mahrez was at 20. He's at a club which is good with youth improvement. I'll stick with my hope and let's see in 5 years time.

btw only a few years ago lots of City supporters preferred Knocky over Mahrez.

I agree. I don't think he will ever be consistent enough. Poor attitude, as shown this season when things are not going so well. We've been lucky to experience the best he'll ever be.

You are probably right. But boy this thread highlights how fickle we all are. To even suggest we'd be better off without Mahrez away is incredible and I'm just sad that we're probably about to experience the last few months of a City great at the club.

Mind you a week ago Slimani was for the scrapheap, good riddance etc, and now he's suddenly going to be a huge loss for a month. How things can change.

I have only just finished watching MOTD from last night and I just thought exactly the same thing.... Perhaps the West Ham full back isn't a high enough profile for the media to vilify. Either way it was strange it didn't warrant showing...?

They did show it, after the next game.

Bizarre, I've just double checked the version I had recorded (the Sunday morning version as my series link hadn't worked last night) and they must have dropped any mention of it!
