Yep - good explanation of Brendan stepping in to switch the formation to a back four and swap Albrighton and Justin

Brave move from Rodgers, and changed the game. Boom
Yep, although some swore blind we didn’t.

So what was the formation after the switch and who played where? I honestly couldn't see it.

Must admit, I love hearing Maddison talk post-match
Really refreshing to hear someone who you can tell just loves playing football.

Also speaks really well for a footballer too with quite a refreshing honesty.

Who'd have thought it!!

congratulations to Brendan he saw a tactical weakness and changed it early enough that it had a chance to work, after that we were superb

Bastard.

My pre match comment was "Lets put 3 without reply past these overplaying ****s"

Didn't bet it :-(

I'll have to have a drink now to help get over it.

Right, will all the anti back ‘5’ brigade now realise that it is no such thing. It allows Justin, who was sensational and Albrighton, who was excellent, to play high up the pitch. Both spent most of the game further forward than the midfield.
A back 4 would simply suppress both of them into their own half.
Long life the back 5!!

You do realise we changed from a back 5 to a back 4 after 20-25 mins don’t you...?

A back 4 didn’t suppress both of our fullbacks (Justin and Fuchs) into their own half, just as it didn’t with Ricardo and Chilwell last season...

Mate, we changed to a back four after 25 minutes because it wasn’t working

Then we were brilliant

I disagree.
Fofana, Evans and Fuchs stayed across the back which allowed Albrighton and Justin to play in their half.
