Given his reputation, I'd expect to see:

Schmeichel
Simpson, Amartey, Benaloune, Huth, Morgan, Dragovic, Fuchs, Chilwell
Iborra, Ndidi

Bit like the Megson days, that.

I expect him to stick with the same lineup as that used at Swansea and then gradually introduce his own philosophy. Perhaps a change in formation that many fans have been crying out for over the past few weeks.

N'Onsense?
I would go 4 2 3 1

Schmeichel

Simpson Maguire Morgan Fuchs

Amartey Iborra

N'Didi Mahrez Chilwell

Vardy

Solid in defence with great attacking options.

I have always wondered why more teams don't play 4 2 3 1. This formation seems to me to offer strong defensive capabilities with exciting attacking options.

I’m not quite sure whether you’re taking the piss there or not.

Why would I be taking the piss? It gives our most creative player freedom to roam and when he gets the ball, he has three attacking options rather than the two offered by 4 4 2. Bring on Okasaki after 60 minutes to replace Vardy and terrorise their defence when they are getting tired. What is not to like about that as a plan?

Erm everything.

An attacking midfield consisting of an attacking misfielder, a left back, and a defensive midfielder. Awesome.

Chilwell's future is not as a left back. He is too attack minded and I think would make a really good attacking left-sided mid-fielder. Mahrez should be given more space to exploit his creative talents and as an attacking central mid-fielder, I think that this would give him more space than being stuck out on the right side. With regards to N'Didi, I admit that this might not be perfect at the moment, but I cannot see another player in the current squad who could fulfill that role. Perhaps Silve when he arrives, but I reiterate my point that 4 2 3 1 formation offers better options. Everybody knows how we play 4 4 2, so we need to change.

Err, no. Start Okazaki and let him have 60 minutes to terrorise their defence. Then when we have them on the ropes bring on Slimani when their CBs are too tired to jump for headers anymore.

Good call. Finish the game with Vardy and Slimani up front when their back four are tired. Finish the game at 4 4 2, don't start it.

You sir, are a tactical genius.

Ohh I think that you are now taking the pithe. We do need to change our formation, we are becoming too predictable. We miss Kante, otherwise we could play 4 3 3 1. Could you please give me a better tactical formation which will give our opponents a different challenge than the one which we have served up in the last 12 months. I know that we won the Premier League playing 4 4 2, but we also managed the great escape playing 3 5 2. We are capable of playing different formations. All I am asking for is a little bit of imagination.
