I also have to confess that I was really happy when we first signed Vesty. Mainly because he was a big ugly fecker and his name sounded like Lestaguard. I wonder now if that was the sole reason that BR signed the useless, money grabbing cnut?

Went well then?

That starting 11. ****ing hell, if he thinks that’s the best 11 he has available he’s more mad than the last bloke.

Assuming, in line with our clubs ongoing PR/comms tyre fire, that we have no updates on Praet, Kristiansen, Coady, Vardy, etc yet?

Let’s not forget that any negativity for the season ahead is just a load of nonsense wibble.
Just a load of nonsense wibble from your good self yet again. Thanks for another sterling contribution.

I’m loving the irony in this post.

I quite like the manager still, although some of his choices of personnel are quite worrying, although there maybe reasons for this that we do not know about. Early in the game the team shape was encouraging. If we can get the right people in I think things look positive. Unfortunately we still have a number of spineless professionals who don't realise that continued effort is required even when things aren't going your way.

It is very difficult to assess that game: were it a competitive match, where the object would be to beat Liverpool, then the set up was tactically inept. Of course, we are not so concerned with the result and Maresco will have wanted to play in the style that he will want in Championship games.

All that can be said, is that we no longer look a Premier League team!

It was a useless game and we can gauge nothing about anything from it. We shouldn't have been playing Liverpool and we shouldn’t have been playing anyone half way across the ****ing globe.

However, that won't stop some from saying that the manager is dross, the players are shit, the new signings are incompetent blah, blah, blah.....

Pretty much agree with the first part but the second is a load of bollocks, I've not seen anyone say any of that.

Vestergaard was complete shite though, as ever.

That’s what some said at the start of last season, and you said it was complete wibble?

Absolutely. We should of been playing league 1 standard teams and tried to build some confidence aswell as fitness. Maybe a similar standard foreign marquee game to finish preseason off. We are off trying to sell a brand to people who don't care. If we are not premier league we don't matter to anyone except ourselves. As someone has said before the post mortem of the club from last season has been done by the people who were culpable. Rodgers has gone but the people who sat and watched as he tore the club to pieces do not appear to have learnt anything from it.

Well, there wasn't a new manager. That's kind of a biggie.

I didn't think we'd go down. I was wrong. I'll be wrong about loads more. You can keep on and on about it if you like but mooching around like a beagle on downers can't be doing you any favours.

On the BBC footbal site, there is a match review of Liverpools 4-0 win today.
I'll not be putting a link here as it doesn't mention us.
