Same problems as the last game; O'Brien scoring rate too slow, Buck leaking runs (or Buck playing), not being able to take enough wickets (story all season in all formats to be honest) and the middle order collapsing. No Smith or Taylor (is he injured) and isn't it about time the likes of Robson and Wells are given a try in the first team. What's Buck got on the Leicestershire coaches and management terrible bowler......Leicestershire should bring in zero hour contracts ie players get paid when they play only, it would reduce the wage bill and force those who play to make the effort. The people I feel sorry for our the season ticket holders, who in the right mind would pay to see this club play!

Taylor was playing for Scotland.

Bowling has been toothless in all forms of the game unfortunately. As Redditch said, not unexpected. Had high hopes to compete for a QF spot in the T20, but can't see us taking enough wickets or restricting the runs enough now.

Watching a bit of the Essex game reminded me that Hoggard is still the most effective bowler - which is unfortunate given the stage of his career , not to mention his wages cost, not to mention that he is hardly viable in the T20.

Its a cycle of doom. On the one hand we have no effective bowling attack in any format of the game - on the other hand we can't afford the wages to bring in top bowlers.

The season effectively ended last weekend from a competitive angle - clearly the club/ coaches can't accept that but the reality is that this is another extremely poor season in a succession of the same - save of course the astonishing T20 win in 2011. Unfortunately the club can't live off that for ever.

Still on the bright side a summer of nin stop international cricket will produce the handout from the ECB which (artificially) keeps LCCC tottering on.

Answer: bring in some inspirational figure(s) to lift the club and say good bye to the perpetual losers at all levels of the club - playing, coaching and executive staff.
