We were very weak last year and subsequently lost 4 of the better players including a great slab of our batting strength - Taylor, McDonald, Nixon plus a left arm seamer - these have been replaced with one decent batsman and an OK seamer. What could be expected?

I appreciate that although a profit was made last season that ECB income in the next accounts is expected to fall - and the first priority must be financial survival, However, we have gone into this season with a squad that is simply not fit for purpose in terms of being able to compete - and I'm afraid that this will apply to the T20 competition as well.
