At the risk of sounding like a mongie, I wanted to throw this out there... I think Liam Moore will get an England call up by the end of this season.

I think he's got the right attributes and attitude to be a good defender in this league, and he made a strong start yesterday up against Lukaku. Moore and Morgan managed to keep him quiet, which is a tough job.

With Hodgson in the stands yesterday, I'm sure he would've been impressed by what he saw of Moore, but it's not just that which led me to think Liam can get into the England squad. I've been thinking about it since the World Cup.

The England defence is very weak at the minute and there aren't all that many players coming through. Hodgson looks keen to bring young players through into the national side and I think he's going to have to in defence.

It's a brilliant opportunity for Liam Moore this season to impress and take advantage of that gap in the England team to earn himself a call up.

I'm not saying he'll be a regular in the squad or go straight into the team, but I think by the end of the year he'll definitely be pushing for a call up if he can continue progressing as he has done.

He may well do. I also think Drinkwater might be in with a shout of getting into the squad. I thought he was excellent while on the pitch yesterday.

Well, hopefully of this is correct. But, this comes with it's own risks. If Moore & drinks are to get call ups we need to ensure we are doing well, or they'll be off.

We're Leicester City. If they prove themselves good enough at this level they'll be leaving anyway. Way of the world.

Although I agree, Moore seems pretty sold on playing for his hometown club. Let's see how it builds.

In my mind, if we still have Schmeichel and Moore on our books at the start of next season, we would've had a good year.

Not for me. Watched him in the Toulon tournament and he still has an incredible amount to learn. That said he's equal to players such as Smalling.

He's probably not international standard, but he's good enough for England. Says more about English prospects than anything.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned elsewhere is how lucky Moore was not to be sent off yesterday. He deliberately handled the ball preventing Lukaku from going clear on goal. It was a definite red card offense that the ref bottled. Just as he did with Barry.

On the player's future prospects, I would agree that he's got a long way to go before making the senior England squad. Certainly, if he gets in without making substantial progress, it says more about the ineptitude of Woy and the lack of options at his disposal than LMs talent.

Having said all that, he was excellent yesterday.

However, Lukaku did control that same ball with his hand before knocking it into Moore.

Can't name too many English defenders better to be honest.

As good as anyone in the current squad not named Cahill.

Jones? Smalling?

Do me a favour.

If the U21 's don't have a fixture in the break then I would expect Liam to be named in the full squad. That's a reflection on England as much as Liam! However, I assume they will and he will play for them.

Cahill, Jagielka and Stones are the obvious squad members, I would put Liam behind Stallingborough, Jones and Calke for now but he's clearly improving. A couple of injuries and your prediction could come true.

without wanting to dampen spirits Lukaku was a slight doubt before yesterday's game so probably not at his best. Liam did well but I think people are getting a bit ahead of themselves
