They sacked their manager after their losing run, and brought in Dowie. If they had stayed with the manager that got them into that losing run, they would not have been promoted.

Well they were 20th in the table and lost 5-0 to Wigan before they sacked him, and had taken 2 points from their last 15 matches so I think thats proof enough. Ask any palace fan if they think Steve Kember would have got them promoted and I think they'd say no.
