In retrospect my comments on Parafox post went too far and were unduly harsh. I was going to send him a private message but since my comments were made in public I think it right to apologise to Parafox in public.

Proper weird for them to go back to clear blue water as a slogan when they're content with brown water.

Well that’s that. I’m thoroughly convinced that the person who has been a part of the ruling government for longer than anyone else currently in it and is now Prime minister has had nothing to do with the events leading to this point.

*dusts hands* Now what’s all this about Peppa Pig featuring a same sex couple?! It’s madness I tell you!

Let's hear it then.

A genuine question that puzzles me. Liz Truss is the third woman to be Conservative Prime Minister, Labour have yet to have a female leader. Two to nothing might be coincidence but not three. Why is it that Labour has not had a female leader. I genuinely do not know,

Labour have had decent top level females, Yvette Cooper is one of the best right now

To make the defence for Labour... their MPs are from working class people (or yes, Islington champagne socialist types) and working class women are usually slogging their guts off looking after the house, family and holding down a job. Also unions are traditionally very male too, another source of Labour MPs

The benefit of privilege means that privately-educated did-PPE-at-Oxford types, a bedrock for the Conservatives, includes women

Also, whilst the Tories bin off their own leader fairly regularly in power, Labour leaders tend to last longer. Corbyn had two elections, Boris one. So yeah, if you change leader every year or two since Brexit, some of them are bound to be female

Don't fall for it Darth, it's such a nothing point.

The bigger point that both the previous ones have been a complete shower of shite is the more important thing.

Any PM should be judged on their time in office, not what gender they are or anything else.

How Britain has allowed Tories to rule for most of my lifetime is beyond me.

How Labor haven’t been able to displace them is even more baffling.

Quotes, snapshots and a confusing belief that somehow life under Theresa May is an improvement on what we had under Blair.

Liz keeps talking about cutting taxes - from where? We are chasing the American low-tax system whilst everyone I talk to laments the loss of public services and funding. It's batshit.

For the record - Truss is a joke. When an election comes boring though he might be, I think Starmer will annihilate her. You don't rise to Director for Public Prosecutions without knowing when to strike.

First past the post doesn't help, if we had PR, the Tories would have split along moderate vs UKIP lines and Labour would have split along beard Corbynite vs moderate Blairite lines

Losing Scotland to the SNP under FPTP means Labour will not enjoy a banker bloc vote any more

It's because they are like the Americans when it comes to marketing.

The fact the most of the print/news media owners are massive doners helps just a tad too.

It is baffling but lots of people can be pursuaded rather easily, hence why the marketing and media makes such a difference.

Perfect example being Boris who was somehow portrayed as a man of the people, even though he has always been an elitist toff who's life is about as far from average Joe's as possible.

They've also managed to convinced the hard of think that Kier Starmer is an elitist as he used to be a barrister (not the coffee one) and was subsequently knighted for it. Even though he worked his way up and should be a cracking example of this hard work mantra the tories provide.

It is baffling but the nation is thick as **** generally speaking.

Not everyone that votes for them are thick as **** though, before some 'snowflakes' start complaining.
