Hi all.

I hope this is of interest to you - it's from Matty Fryatt's personal 'diary' and is about the weekend's game. Hope you like:

We can outfox the Saints at St Mary's

I thought we would have been higher in the table than we are now. Over Christmas I think we deserved more points than what we actually got to be honest. Playing against Wolves was alright, then we beat Ipswich and against Charlton we couldn’t hold out for the win. Losing to QPR the other day was very disappointing, we didn’t expect to go there and play as poorly as we did. I think we will start picking up though because in the three games prior to that we were playing well. We really need to start moving up the table now and we definitely don’t want a repeat of the QPR game

The new manager has identified a lot of problems and started straightening them out, but it takes a while for things to take shape. He's brought in some new faces already in Barry Hayles and Steve Howard. That makes it a lot of strikers at Leicester now; including myself, Iain Hume, Elvis Hammond and DJ Campbell. I'm sure there will be a few more additions over the transfer window as well. I'm not going to say I'm not worried about my place, obviously not all of you can play at the same time and you all want to. There's more pressure to perform but you have to get on with it and prove that you are the best. You want everyone firing on all cylinders and competition is good for the game. If you aren’t up for it then you aren’t good enough to be playing.

Today Ian Holloway became our longest serving manager of the season. It's a bit of a weird stat considering the time he has been here. The amount of managers we have had is crazy really. You never get used to having so many. It's more frustrating for us players who have been here for a long time. It's not anything to do with the managers themselves; it's more that things are always changing according to their preferences. You never get a consistency with what your role involves. You have to get on with it, but you want a bit of stability. Everyone is sacking everyone in football these days, it's mad.

The manager is quite a character, you read some of his quotes and his character comes out, but there is a serious side to him as well. After games when we haven’t performed as well as we should, you can't be laughing and joking can you? He does have a stern side but generally he is a bubbly character and we can have a joke with him.

We've got Southampton in the FA Cup this weekend. Southampton away is not quite as glamorous as getting a big Premiership club but we can't really complain after playing Aston Villa and Chelsea in the Carling Cup this season. We got a bit lucky with those draws really. It would have been nice to play a Premiership side in the FA Cup as well, but so be it. We can't be greedy.

We did well to beat Villa 1-0 and the 4-3 defeat at Stamford Bridge gave us a lot to be proud of, and hopefully we'll do well against the Saints. A lot of our focus is on the league, but sometimes it's good to get a cup run going because you never know what might come of it. A win in the cup can relieve the pressure and boost your confidence so we'll be intent on winning on Saturday. We need to get those wins back on track.

Don't want to spam you with a link but its from his website in case you think i'm making it up!!

Jollins Con? Or has he forgotten about him already?

Has he put in his diary if he is still poking that casino waitress? Now, that would be worth reading compared to this drivel.

That's :icon_lol: but at the same time :icon_sad:. This season has just been such a joke so far.

Also makes me laugh he forgets Carl Cort exists in the list of strikers he gives.

Cort's been told to feck off, so doesn't count.

He only says "including" anyway.... which is weird that he mentions Elvis.
