on a side note, it's getting an absolute pain in the arse end how this keeps dragging.. I'm expecting us to miss the January window entirely to be honest..

I don't think it's that important. Any serious business will be done in the summer.

The January transfer window is proving a bit of a non-event anyway. Also this season is now a total write off and spending money before the summer would wasteful.

That said , of course, I am assuming that we don't sink into the relegation places....in my view the focus needs to be in filling what I regard as the vacant manager post.

Agreed, I've been starting to think we should make an approach for Newell again. He's not doing so great at the moment, but he seems to be stuck with a very unambitious board who is prepared to sell the clubs best players..
