Moving - again

I know the site has moved twice in recent months, but we're moving again, so there will be a little downtime some time in the next day or two.


I've bought a new server, located in one of the best datacentres in the UK for connectivity. It's also a good spec, so there should be no performance problems, hopefully this will be the last move for some time.


Normally I plan to make a move like this overnight, so most people won't even notice it happening.

But there will always be a few people who still have problems accessing the site for a day or so once the move has happened, due to the way their ISPs work. The IP address of the new site will be 87.117.200.32, so anyone who knows how to use the hosts file in windows can update this if they have problems accessing the site once the move has taken place.

Because I found a company doing dedicated servers in the UK with the spec I want at a price that isn't much more than I'm paying for the server I currently have that's in the US.
So I can get rid of the American server and move all my sites to the UK.

As usual after a move like this it could take some people a while before they can see the site again, due to the way ISPs cashe IP addresses.

There may be occasional downtime (usually only a couple of minutes at a time) in the next couple of days as I add more sites to the new server.

There's currently a problem sending emails from the new server, so you won't receive any thread subscription or PM notification emails. This will also stop new users from signing up.
I'm working on it now to find a solution.

I'm getting some message about ISP if I do to user CP but I can see the Forum ok.I take it this will right itself in time?
